SURE Social Enterprise Company – a future ambition..
This is envisaged as a specialist construction / contracting company providing services directly aimed at improving the
energy efficiency of domestic properties, community buildings and commercial premises.
There would be three main elements to the business:
- Energy Auditing
- Energy Efficiency Construction Services
- Sale of Specialist Energy Efficiency Equipment
The workforce could comprise of a core group of individuals / tradespeople with additional,
periodic assistance from other specialists. It could be possible to take on young people / volunteers to train up. It is hoped that encouragement and support may be available from Leeds City Council.

How you can get involved..
What we're now looking for is people who'd like to play an active part in the formation of such a company - people who'd like either to become part of the core group of tradespeople or who'd like to be part of managing the direction of the company.
There'll be a role for some people who want to offer their services as non-executive directors and also people who would simply like to be volunteer Energy Auditors.
If you recognise the potential value of a not-for-profit company tangibly changing the energy efficiency profile of the locality - and in so doing helping to roll back fuel poverty, improve the health of our community and to play a part in reducing the likelihood of runaway climate change then please get in touch..
